AFFtheClyde, with members from communities around Loch Long, Loch Goil, the Isle of Bute, and the wider Firth of Clyde was originally formed by local residents to campaign against the proposed fish farms at Ardentinny on Loch Long, Argyll, and three other proposed Firth of Clyde sites at Great Cumbrae, Little Cumbrae, and the Isle of Bute.
Our scope has widened since our inception and we recently led the community campaign that successfully supported the refusal of the planning application for the proposed salmon farm at Beinn Reithe, near Arrochar, Loch Long.
