Deadline approaches for opposing Dawnfresh Clyde fish farm proposals

Friday 28 May, 2021 is the deadline for submissions to the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) for opposing the Dawnfresh proposals for fish farms at South Bute, Cumbrae and Little Cumbrae. As the proposed locations will not only have a catastrophic environmental effect on the the areas adjacent to the fish farms, the farms will also affect the whole of the Firth of Clyde and its lochs (including Loch Long).

To assist you in completing the SEPA consultation forms, www.Buteifulcoasts.com has compiled a Guidance Document at https://bit.ly/3bUt3AZ.

The SEPA consultation forms can be completed at:

South Bute Application: https://bit.ly/2RCp1q4
Cumbrae Application: https://bit.ly/3yBYo55
Little Cumbrae Application: https://bit.ly/3uhsDe3

www.Buteifulcoasts.com also held a very informative online meeting recently which included presentations by experts opposing the Clyde fish farms. The video can be viewed at https://bit.ly/3fHDd8Z. More information and presentation slides can be accessed at https://bit.ly/3fh3b47.

If you care about your environment, please take a few minutes to complete all three of the SEPA consultation forms NO LATER THAN FRIDAY 28 MAY.

UPDATE:

SEPA has now confirmed that they will accept postal responses to Dawnfresh CAR applications (hopefully they will extend the closing date!).

Any representation should be posted to the following address:
Scottish Environment Protection Agency
6 Parklands Avenue
Eurocentral
Holytown
North Lanarkshire
ML1 4WQ
And marked for the attention of Sandra Tough.
