In the January 2024 issue of Holyrood magazine an ‘advertorial’ was published and sponsored by Loch Long Salmon Limited. The article contained a number of claims by LLS Managing Director, Stewart Hawthorne which need to be challenged.
The magazine states that it is read by the country’s key legislators and according to Ipsos Mori, it is the most widely read publication amongst MSPs and is cited as being influential in their decision-making.
Long Live Loch Linnhe, the community group opposing the siting of a second LLS mega semi-closed salmon farm at Loch Linnhe have coordinated a well researched response to the article which is reproduced in full below.
