SEPA to grant licence for Ardentinny Fish Farm

The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) is to grant a licence for the proposed Dawnfresh fish farm on Loch Long at Ardentinny subject to the conditions in the draft authorisation (see below).

As can be seen in the SEPA advertisement (see image below), published in the 10 September, 2021 issue of the Dunoon Observer, it appears that SEPA have lost the contact details of those who made representations to them in June 2019 with regard to Dawnfresh Farming’s authorisation application to install a fish farm off Ardentinny.

If you intend submitting an objection to this application to Scottish Ministers and made representation to SEPA in this regard when it was first advertised, you are requested to re-send a copy of that representation along with your contact details to SEPA registry@sepa.org.uk no later than October 1, 2021. Please see https://www.sepa.org.uk/regulations/consultations/advertised-applications-under-car/cars-hidden/1178003. It’s unclear if SEPA are accepting representations by postal mail. We have contacted them requesting clarification. Please also see our related post from May 2019.

[Update 14 Sept, 2021]

CAR/L/1178003
We have received confirmation from SEPA that they can receive representations by both email (registry@sepa.org.uk) and postal mail:
FAO: Ross Hall
Angus Smith Building
6 Parklands Avenue
Eurocentral
Holytown
North Lanarkshire
ML1 4WQ
All representations should be marked “CAR/L/1178003”.
Please be aware that SEPA is NOT accepting new representations. Your representations/objections should only be resent if you previously submitted these in 2019 and you intend to request call-in from Scottish Ministers (In response to SEPA’s determination decision) and part of the process is to send a copy of said to SEPA.
